Admission Modalities

MBA Program

The admission modalities are with reference to the full time campus programs offered by the ICFAI University, Sikkim. The medium of instruction is English.

Eligibility
Graduation in any discipline with 45% and above aggregate.

Final year students awaiting results are also eligible to apply. Their admission will be provisional, subject to qualifying in the final examination. The registration and admission of these candidates is liable to be cancelled in case they do not fulfill the eligibility criteria specified above by September 15, 2016. In such cases, admission fee will be forfeited and only 50% of the semester fee will be refunded after notifying the cancellation of the seat by the University.

Selection Procedure

Indian Students: The selection of applicants into the UG/PG programs is made through application and interview.

Foreign Students: The selection of applicants into these programs is subject to fulfilment of the eligibility criteria made through screening of the applications.

Due weightage is given to academic distinction, honors and awards in sports, cultural events, extra curricular activities viz. debates, quizzes and adventure sports.

Interview
The applicants will have to go through a personal interview at the campus. This is to determine the applicants attitude and motivation to pursue the program.

Original academic /other certificates and domicile certificate are required to be produced for verification at the time of the interview. These will be returned after verification. The applicants are required to bring photocopies of all their certificates in addition for retention in their records with the University.

The selection for admission or otherwise will be communicated during the interview process. All the selected applicants will be required to pay the admission fee immediately after selection.

Special Reservation
There shall be a special provision for admission of applicants belonging to the State of Sikkim in any course of the ICFAI University, Sikkim, which shall not be less than 25 (twenty-five) per cent of seats in each course/ discipline subject to the applicants meeting the minimum qualifying requirements referred to above.

Seats remaining unfilled under special reservation may be filled up by allotting the same to applicants belonging to Open Category.
BBA Program

LLB Program

The selection to the Law Programs of Faculty of Law at the ICFAI University, Sikkim is highly competitive. The goal of the admissions committee is to select applicants whose academic background meet the demands of the program for a successful career. Intelligent, ethical, articulate and active individuals are encouraged to pursue these programs. The Admissions Committee evaluates applicants prospects as future leaders and their projected ability to succeed and benefit from these programs.

Eligibility
  • Pass with 50% and above aggregate marks in Graduation or equivalent (in any discipline).
  • Students awaiting final year examination results are also eligible for admission.
If an applicant is found ineligible for whatever reasons even after admission into the program, the provisional admission will automatically stand cancelled and admission fee will be forfeited and only 50% of the semester fee will be refunded after notifying the cancellation of the seat by the University.

All admissions will be subject to verification of facts from the original certificates/documents of the applicants. The decision of the Admissions Committee regarding eligibility of any applicant shall be final.

Admission Process: The admission into the BBA-LLB (Hons.) / BCom-LLB (Hons.) and LLB Programs are made through application and interview. Eligible applicants are required to apply for the program by filling the Application Form (given on page 3). The University will offer provisional admissions subject to the applicants satisfying all the eligibility criteria on merit basis. The admission would be confirmed only after all the required proof of eligibility have been produced by the applicant and verified by the Admissions Office. Due weightage is given to past academic record, academic distinctions, achievements in sports and extra-curricular and co-curricular activities.

B.Com Program
