About the Program
The Master of Arts in Political or MA (Political Science) is a 2- year campus based program offered by the University. The MA
- Political Science Program is Organized into 4 Semester in two years. Candidates are require to complete 19 courses including core course, Discipline Specific Elective and a Post Graduate Dissertation. A Master of Arts in Political Science gives students the skills and knowledge to work in jobs ranging from an elected official to working as a lobbyist for a major corporation. It's the type of degree that allows someone to really make their mark in this world, through public service, influencing legislation, or shaping public policy.The Program gives people the skills to understand the Constitution, how laws are made, and how to effectively navigate the complicated world of modern governing with advance coursework. This degree can prepare students for jobs overseas, working for the state department or other communication- based jobs with theoretical and hands - on training.Many Students are interested in receiving an MA in Political Science because they have a strong desire to change the world around them. They want to be involved in politics and the government, and they want to shape laws and policy. This Program will give them the needed skills to accomplish these tasks.

Eligibility Criteria
Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University with 50% and above aggregate marks. Students who have studied Political Science as a subject in Graduation will be an added advantage.

Program Structure
The MA in Political Science consists of 19 courses and a post Graduate Dissertation in Fourth Semester spread over two year. The students are required to take 6 Discipline Elective courses spread in 4 Semesters. The actual choice of electives will however depend on the optimal number of students opting for the same electives.
